“Frank was very good at communicating and gave us a great experience in St Kitts. We had a last minute cancelation on our private charter and frank was able to accommodate us with under a days notice. He was very thorough in the information provided and trust worthy. His sailboat was very comfortable with plenty of shade for a group of 8 with little kids. He picked us up right next to the marina where our cruise ship docked and took us to a spot to snorkel. He provided all gear and you can order drinks and food that he will bring on the boat so you can eat on the trip. We had a nice calm sailing and he was an expert in navigating the sail boat. “We recently visited St. Kitts for my brother in laws 50th birthday and reached out to Captain Frank to enjoy a day on the water. Enjoy we did. Frank was extremely nice, prepared, and a very capable sailor. We ordered food from him through a local restaurant. We did snacky stuff rather than full meals, and it suited the six of us just fine. Frank had everything set up when we arrived and we promptly left the harbor and hoisted the sails. We were fortunate to have very good winds and moved right along toward out destination which was a calm little cove that Frank keeps secret. Along the way he brought up drinks from below as needed and gave us a pretty good history lesson of the island. (he also talked about hiking the volcano in what we would find out later had to be a record time, man that was painful) Once we arrived we got our gear together and snorkeled around for an hour or so. We decided to extend our stay by about an hour to give us time to enjoy our food while moored. Once we were ready to head out, we hoisted the sails once again and headed back. Altogether one of the best parts of the trip and I would suggest it to anyone who wants a laid back good day to spend on the water.”

“We were made aware of Frank’s sailing through a neighboring guest at the Park Hyatt and from the moment we reached out, Frank was responsive, thorough, informative and kind. Frank provides 5 star service and we had a wonderful experience. We opted form the 4hr sailing from 10am-2pm and snorkeled for an hour. Frank also coordinated the taxi to and from the marina (you pay the taxi directly or you can arrange your own transportation) Food, beer and wine were an added cost and was fairly priced. During the sailing trip, not only was Frank your captain also your butler! Lol he didn’t want you lifting a finger! He provided snorkel gear, chairs to relax on the bow, and a portable bluetooth speaker. We were lucky to get great weather and had a great time on the 49’, well kept sailboat. Thanks Frank!”

“Absolutely one of the most enjoyable days we have spent in the Caribbean. Both kids (16 and 18) and parents (older than 16 and 18) had the best day.
To start, the boat was impeccable, and that’s coming from a “boat guy”. We’ve all been on excursions in the Caribbean where the boat was, at best, questionable. THIS IS NOT THAT EXCURSION. Period.
So moving on to the captain, Captain Frank. I did quiz him about his experience and I was more than satisfied. Frank knew as much about sailing as I know about powerboats - maybe more (that hurts me to say) . So I was 100% comfortable. Frank was super engaging and willing to share all that he was doing with you. I begged to help out and he was willing to oblige.
So boat great , captain great … now on to the experience. The standard charter is 3 hours. We did 5. We sailed from the main marina in Basseterre south to a small, secluded bay with a small shipwreck to do a little snorkeling. Along the way Frank had arranged a picnic lunch per our requests (menu on Website) and some of the best rum punch we have had. The sail took about 1:30. After settling in and snorkeling for over an hour ( we saw a stingray, a crab, a flounder, triggerfish, tang and fan, stag horn, and brain coral along with a lot of stuff I don’t even know) we returned to the boat for a sunset return.
Such a nice evening return with a beautiful St Kitts sunset and a glass of champagne as the sun hit the water. Everyone rated this a 10/10. We’d go higher if we could.”

He graciously scheduled a private lesson for us in a very narrow window of availability (on our part.) He went far beyond what should be expected to take us out on a particular day just before a major holiday. Captain Frank had both a neophyte and a student with more experience and knowledge, in the same lesson, yet accommodated both seamlessly. The Captain also communicates clearly, prior to the lesson, what you need to bring with you and what will be provided. He also keeps you informed regarding the best hours for sailing based on the weather and he updates you as warranted. The cost of the lesson was more than reasonable for the level of services and the time on the water. We have already made plans to book flights in from New Mexico, specifically to have lessons with Captain Frank again.”

He was extremely patient with us, didn’t get mad or yell when we messed up and was clear when directing or explaining things to us. For us, repetition is key to learning and Capt. Frank kept us going over maneuvers time and again until we felt comfortable doing them. A lot was packed in our initial three hour session — so much so that I feel we could take the boat out on our own (in nice weather) and we’d actually be able to make it back to the dock. From the initial communication, Frank was responsive and considerate. He monitored the weather and accommodated a quick change of schedule in order to ensure that we would have optimal weather.

Consistent with his responsiveness by phone and email, Captain Frank was punctual and ready for us when we arrived. IRIE was a beautiful, comfortable, and well-maintained vessel. Captain Frank was great with our 6-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter—even giving our son lessons on how to sail the boat. Capt. Frank was his newest hero (Our daughter was more interested in lounging.). Capt. Frank is easy to talk too, friendly, open, and unobtrusive. We were all at ease and comfortable spending the afternoon with him.

We capped off the evening with a delicious catered meal, while watching the sunset from the sailboat. It was a beautiful, and much-needed break from the day-to-day—a great way to unwind. Highly recommended - can’t wait to do it again!”

The lesson was done in a very relaxed manner and very enjoyable. The second lesson was WOW!! Did all of the things I learned in the first lesson but this one was done in winds up to 27mph!!!! Most fun I’ve had with my pants on.”
